Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Intent ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS and watchOS application, Intent (the "App").
In short: Intent runs primarily on your devices. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not collect your breathing, workout or health data on our servers.
Information We Collect
On‑device app data. Intent stores app settings, breathing session history, session analytics, reminders, workout notes and related app preferences locally on your device. We do not operate a cloud account system for this data.
Purchases and subscriptions. If you purchase Intent Pro, Apple processes the transaction. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple ID credentials. The app may access transaction and entitlement information made available by Apple on your device so it can unlock, restore and manage Pro access.
Health, workout and motion data (optional). If you enable Apple Health, Apple Watch or motion permissions, Intent can read data such as heart rate, workouts, active energy, distance, cadence and motion or gyroscope data from your iPhone and Apple Watch to provide live guidance and session analytics. With your permission, Intent may write completed workout summaries or related workout data to Apple Health. This data is processed on your devices and is not sent to our servers.
Notifications. If you enable reminders, Intent schedules local notifications on your device. We do not receive notification content or delivery data.
How We Use Information
Intent uses on‑device data to:
- run breathing sessions and Pro workouts
- provide live coaching, watch connectivity and session analytics
- save your settings, reminders and history
- unlock, restore and manage Pro access through Apple's purchase systems
Data Storage
We do not operate servers for your breathing, workout or health data. Your app data is stored locally on your devices and can be removed by deleting the app. If you enable device backups, such as iCloud backups, your operating system may include app data in those backups. We do not access or control those backups.
Third‑Party Services
Intent does not use third‑party analytics, advertising or tracking services. We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies in the app.
Apple may collect information when you use the App Store, StoreKit, Apple Health or Apple Watch, as described in Apple's own privacy policy and terms.
Children's Privacy
Intent does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because Intent does not operate servers for user breathing, workout or health data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from users through the app experience itself. If you believe you have provided us personal information directly, please contact us and we will address the request.
App Store and Apple Services
Intent is distributed through Apple's App Store. Subscription billing, purchase processing and certain account‑related functions are handled by Apple. We encourage you to review Apple's Privacy Policy for details about how Apple handles your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
